We were out for a long walk today and both the dogs were having lots of fun.Roxy is in heat but as there were no dogs about she got off the lead 5 mins from the house so she could go in the burn cool down and clean herselfe.Well you all know what happened next.
Tina bolted into the bushes Roxy went in after her and then the screams started it was Roxy and a big SHD She is fine no blood but not moving about much,so we called the vet for advice and were told she could be in shock all she is doing is sleeping on the sofa.
We now have to take her to the vet on saturday morning to get her the morning after jag and then back again on the monday for the follow up.
Has anyone elses dog had this?

Well I spoke to the owner of the dog today and he said not to worry as they didn't tie honestly it was only seconds she was out of sight and he ran through the bushes and seen Roxy sitting he reckoned his dog being so big he had dragged her to the ground first and then his dog was trying to mount her and broke them upbut we are still going to the vet on saturday to see what she says
I think I will still ask for the jag just incase
roxy is fine today humping Tina and Tina humping her and full of beans
the owner of the other dog has told me to send the vet bill to hi
which I thought was very kind of him as Roxy was of her leadi don't know if I will do it though maybe I will wait to see the bill first

Roxy went down to the vet on sat and got the first jag and she was fine a bit sleepy but that's all
We are not long back from the second jag and the owner of the dog came too to pick up the bill and did the bill came to £45 and he paid it there and then
When I took Roxy in for the jag the vet told me she knew him and the dog had done it a few times and if we had went ahead with the pups we could have lost Roxy as the pups would have been far to big for her
I just wonder how many other dogs he has had to pay for the morning after jag Cry

holy moly Shocked a lucky escape then Huh? does that really happen if a small bitch is mated by a large dog i would have thought seeing as the bitch is carrying the puppies they would only get as large as the bitch could handle them being Shocked Shocked
